Ghost Rider
Nicolas Cage is a walk meme . You ca n’t find an actor who ’s churned outmore ridiculous filmsthan he has . Yet , he ’s also a pretty well thespian and is even an Oscar winner . As Nic has descended more into cheesy films than quality one , we ’ve somehow become sports fan of these kinds of flick .
In this list , we ’ve ( mostly ) included those films that are game , but not needs bad ; their cheesiness cistron comes in due to either how cliché they might be , Nic ’s over - the - the - top acting , or just because the premiss is cheesy in itself .
It Could Happen To You (1994)
romanticistic comedies are inherently sleazy , but this one really add together in the whacky tone in great numbers . The story had a cop portion out his drawing winnings with a waitress , and it limn the resultant love history between them . What makes the film so cheesy is how the protagonist conveniently have everything fall into their circle so they can be together . They pull ahead the drawing ; out of the blue , the fighter ’s wife leaves him ; the couple just happens to feed a roofless Isle of Man who ’s an undercover reporter ; they become rich through donations and recover the money they lost .
Cage , meanwhile , seems to think that opening his mouth as less as possible while mouth somehow makes him go like a romanticist hoagie , as he mumbles his way throughIt Could hap to You . But you do it what ? We do like how everything works out , and there ’s nothing wrong with liking a glad ending , is there ?
Vampire’s Kiss (1989)
What ’s the point of detailing the game of this motion-picture show when you know just by see at the picture why we sleep with watching it ? This picture show is thirty class sometime , but it hold up on in meme to this day . Vampire ’s Kissis part horror , part clowning , and completely cockeyed .
When you ’ve got a level where the main character thinks he ’s becoming a vampire , there ’s not much room for quality . Yet , we ca n’t say look on Nicolas Cage ham actor everything up with his provocative formulation does n’t make us express joy . It ’s all so very stupid , but it is entertaining still . Vampire ’s Kissis a must - see when you ’ve got the guys over and want to express mirth in unison .
Con Air (1997)
The flick ’s claim is kind of a shimmer on words of its own premise – a plane filled with yard bird , moderate to the nameCon Air . As you’re able to see just by the name alone , this photographic film was fill with exaggerated word-painting of its independent characters .
Cage played the only good prisoner , as he resembled a stallion lay on the loose what with his farsighted hair and stubble , accompanied by his wearing a vest for most of the film . His emphasis sounded like he was n’t sure if he should baffle to country or go with his actual one , although his performance was n’t really bad . Every character was over the top , but there ’s a common sense of warmth you sense once Cage ’s lineament is reunite with his daughter . The laugh are lame , but you do find yourself laughing at them , too .
The Family Man (2000)
Flip aroundIt ’s a Wonderful Life , and you ’ve gotThe Family Man . It ’s a completely predictable narrative of a man whose superficial lifestyle is proven to be empty when he ’s shove in an alternate timeline where he has a family .
There ’s no wit or smart centering here , and the time where you see Cage ’s fictional character bond with his small fry are incredibly lathered on in feel - good moments that are very apparently shoehorned for character development . Of of course , he ends up choosing the alternate life over his original one , because that ’s the whole point . However , the movie is made inthe vacation feel , and you do n’t require to watch a movie that ends in a sad way , do you ? It ’s cliché - ridden but still has enough goofy good luck charm to work out .
National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007)
This is really a pretty good film and is extremely intriguing due to the history that accompanies it , but Ol’ Nic once again manages to cheese things up by bear one crazy saving after another in comedic scene .
The craziest one you ’ll find here is when he ’s feigning a meltdown and goes off on a rant in Buckingham Palace ; complete with an awful English accent , slide down the step , screaming at the top of his lungs , and basically overplay it all up . And yet , you ca n’t say it ’s not entertaining since Nic does a knock - on caper at do like a fool . Other than that , the film ’s climax is a play ride in itself , even though he achieves impossible task like nobble the President and finding a city of gold .
Drive Angry (2011)
If you want to close your brain down and just roll with it , then this Nic Cage movie has been made for you . Using your encephalon cells forDrive Angryis an insult to your intelligence agency , and to enjoy it , you need to shut down any variety of logical thinking .
Once you do that , thenDrive Angryturns out to be a pretty gratifying film , due to Nick doing the best he can to make the ridiculous premiss seem something of substance . He ’s entertain in his part as a man who ’s escaped Hell ( hence the driving angrily part ) , and the film is safe if you want to be entertained without needing to remember about anything . Who among us does n’t need to turn over our learning ability off for a couple of hours ?
Next (2007)
2008 was a relatively quiet year for Nic , which was probably because he ’d had his filling of ridiculous motion picture in 2007 – the most moronic of which had to beNext . To be clean , the film is n’t bad for almost its total runtime ; it ’s when at the very last five minutes that you find out everything was a vision that you sigh in exasperation at another Nic film jump the shark .
LikeDrive Angry , Nextis also an pleasurable matter once you overlook the C of plot holes and empty-headed premise and just prize the action - intemperate execution for what it is . Nextis form of a guilty pleasure you watch when coming across it at random on television , or finding it on a plane drive – although why a plane keep this as part of its watch list is the real mystery .
The Sorcerer’s Apprentice (2010)
It was like the developers thought , “ How can we make Nic Cage even crazier ? ” , and then settle on turning Cage into a wizard , because that just spell money all around , does n’t it ? Seeing asThe Sorcerer ’s Apprenticemade over $ 200 million , maybe the studio was n’t wrong .
Cage has nothing to do in the film other than tango around with Alfred Molina ’s equally bizarre dark necromancer , and that ’s reasonably much it as far as his role pop off . However , the movie ’s real protagonist , play by Jay Baruchel , is n’t bad at all , and Cage ’s persona support him not all too naughtily , either . It ’s a film that bear best in its special effects ; you could excuse the cheesiness of the talks , plot , costume , and pretty much everything else thanks to the cool effect on display .
Ghost Rider (2007)
Nic tried double to makeGhost Riderwork , and both times he succeeded in making further memes out of his face . While the second part was all kind of abominable , we find ourselves going back to watch the first film , as Nic ’s mad playacting contributes to an equally half-baked premise .
The film ’s steering really is n’t good , but it ’s a Charles Frederick Worth a watch thanks to the performance of the cast , and Cage is charming in his own way . His quips and transformations into Ghost Riders are lame as heck , but somehow they make for great replay value . As far as bad superhero flick go , Ghost Riderreally ai n’t too speculative .
The Wicker Man (2006)
talk of forged , this cinema merit all the prize it can get for being so forged that it has become legendary . LovingThe Wicker Manis an opened closed book , as the film gave us crazy Nicolas Cage moments galore . you may find a hilarious quote to tally any given situation – whether it is crying about your grades ( “ Not the bee ! " ) , or getting burn food to rust ( “ How ’d it get burned ! ? ” ) , Nic ’s got you covered .
Plus , we ’ve got Nic in all his hammy glory , as he punches someone while wearing a bear cause ( really , we are not even piddle this up ) and cries while getting burned alive as if someone stole ice cream from his hands . It ’s a severe film made pleasurable thanks to just how uproariously bad it is . It ’s most likely the most re - watched Nic Cage moving-picture show you could find .
