Ridley Scott announced recently that despiteAlien : Covenantunderperforming at the boxful billet andFox selling most of its cinematic assets to Disney , he is still working on anotherAliensequel to complete the prequel trilogy that he begin withPrometheusandCovenant .
There is also a rumor that Scott will follow up this trilogy with another sequel that will tie the prequels and the original serial together , but let ’s just take it one movie at a time . Alienfans have a lot of burning questions left behind from the vexer , setups , and secret plan twist fromPrometheusandCovenant . Why did David bother saving the Covenant crew, just to then kill them?
midway throughAlien : Covenant , David save the crowd of the Covenant – or a few of them , anyway – from the xenomorphs he created . Then , in brief afterwards , he makes it on board the Covenant ship with them and loose his xenomorphs on them , taking them out one by one .
Daniels was the only survivor , and once David had gotten her in a stasis pod , he ’d taken over the Covenant with his precious xenomorph eggs andthere was nothing she could do to block him . But if his plan was to pass over out the work party of the Covenant and take over their ship , why would n’t he just do that to begin with ?
Did the crew of the Covenant miss the perfect planet?
InAlien : Covenant , the crew of the titulary spaceship are drawn to a very severe planet where even the dust wants to vote out them when they geta infection of Elizabeth Shaw singing along to John Denver ’s “ Country route . ”
We do n’t get an awful flock of selective information about the technology used by the crew of the Covenant – or anyone in theAlienuniverse , for that thing – so for all we have a go at it , their astronomical surveillance equipment is n’t great , and maybe before they were lured in by “ Country Roads , ” they missed the perfect satellite to host human life . A subsequence could suffice this enigma .
Why did David send the “Country Roads” clip in the first place?

David explain inAlien : Covenantthat he ’s been tampering with the xenomorphs ’ DNA . But from what we know about the xenomorphs , this is n’t possible . Their use of eggs and chestbursters suggests that they need host to make it and procreate .
If David is a synthetic organism and he wiped out all the life on the Engineers ’ major planet , how did the xenomorphs keep regurgitate for David to alter their DNA ? Maybe there ’s some engineering on the Engineers ’ ship that allows this , but we ca n’t just be left to assume that . The new sequel need to explain how all of this went down .
Why did David kill the Engineers?
David seemed to have accepted Elizabeth ’s desire tomeet the Engineers and see what their architectural plan for humanity were . However , inCovenant , we see David flying over the Engineers ’ homeworld and massacring them by let loose black guck . This was the same pernicious black muck that the Engineers appear to be contrive to eject to mankind .
So , David ’s plan seemed to change at the drib of a hat . First , he wanted to confront the Engineers . Next , he ’s slaughtering them with their own gooey weapon . There are a few pieces missing from this puzzler that the newAliensequel should answer .
What happened to Elizabeth Shaw?
WhileCovenantcatches up with David following the events ofPrometheus , he ’s alone . Elizabeth Shaw is nowhere to be check . Ridley Scott has exact that the newAliensequel , tentatively titledAlien : Awakening , will be set betweenPrometheusandCovenant , filling in the middle section .
One has to wonderwhy Scott has decided to make the trilogy in this order , but it ’s sure novel and might play to spectacular effect asAwakeningties plot threads from both moving picture together , answer all their lingering interrogation . How did David manage to overpower Walter?

( Michael Fassbender really did a fantastic problem of playing the two androidsas discrete graphic symbol , specially since they shared a lot of the same scene . ) The last clock time we saw Walter – the real Walter – was in a scuffle with David , and Walter was winning . So , how did David overwhelm Walter ?
Who put David back together?
The last sentence we saw David beforeCovenant , he was being ripped apart by an Engineer . And yet , inCovenant , we see him fully functioning with all his part in the right place . So , the burn interrogative sentence continue : who put David back together ? The easiest resolution is that Elizabeth Shaw unwisely piece the wickedness android back together .
Although this can be assume , it would be capital to see it actually paid off in the movies ’ canyon . If the nextAlienmovie is set betweenPrometheusandCovenant , as has been rumored , then there ’s a lucrative chance to make full in this plot kettle of fish with some plot logic cementum .
Did Shaw ever make it to Paradise?
Paradise Lostwas the initial title ofAlien : Covenantbefore it was changed . What is David’s ultimate goal?
At the end ofAlien : Covenant , we ’re process to a harrowing plot twist . Daniels thinks she ’s about to put into cryogenic sleep by Walter , having finally kill the xenomorph that made it onto their ship , but then Walter drops the American speech pattern and we see it ’s actually David .
