The revival of the Jurassic Park franchise following the success ofJurassic WorldandJurassic World : Fallen Kingdomhas let for elaboration into television receiver . In 2020 , Netflix will premierJurassic World : Camp Cretaceous , an animated dinosaur escapade produce by DreamWorks Animation and bring about by Steven Spielberg that takes place on the other side of Isla Nublar .
So far , we know that it will involve a group of teenager that win the prospect of a lifetime ; a stay at Camp Cretaceous , a unique experience sport new and old dinosaur from the Jurassic World base park . But which dinosaurs will we get to see , and which will be left to become fossils ? on-key to the nature of the franchise , the trip wo n’t go as planned , result in terrific calamity as the teens must survive on their own in the park . Here are the five dinos we hope attempt to sink their teeth into the youngsters , and five we hope go nonextant .
NEED TO SEE: T-REX
Can there be aJurassic Parkseries without the most famous dinosaur in the franchise accept a collation out of park visitor ? The T - Rex has made an appearance in everyJurassic Parkfilm to appointment , and she deserves to come back around to terrorise a sweet crop of adolescent .
Jurassic Worldupped the stake by including a portion of genetically direct dinosaur splice with other animals . The T - Rex remains one of the most impressive scourge to park visitant , and has since it run its paddock in the original cinema . It ’s been the same T - Rex the whole time , and we do n’t see the franchise killing her off anytime soon .
CAN STAY EXTINCT: PACHYCEPHALOSAURUS
These bull - head wight were first introduced inThe Lost World , find by large biz Orion Roland when on a hunting with other InGen force to collect dinosaurs for a new island . As a plant - eating dinosaur , they do n’t represent a peculiarly dreadful resister to park visitor unless made upset by their legal action .
Besides , a much more frightening version of this dinosaur was encountered in Jurassic World , after InGen cloned it and used its DNA to create Stygimoloch specimens that were chance on Isla Nublar . However , most of those may have been lost during the Mount Sibo bang in 2018 , but maybe they could seem in the next series .
NEED TO SEE: VELOCIRAPTOR (ESPECIALLY BLUE!)
You ca n’t have a serial aboutJurassic Parkand not admit one of its most recognizable species , velociraptors ! Since the first film in the franchise , they ’ve been some of the most dangerous threats to ballpark visitant . Despite being much smaller than other predators , they use their size and focal ratio to their advantage .
Hunting in packs , they often utilized dodgy tactics and scheme to outsmart their prey . One of the most famous of these raptors was gloomy , trained by Owen inJurassic Worldand reunite with him inJurassic World : Fallen Kingdom . Perhaps in the serial , there will be both trained and untrained bird of prey for the visitors to know .
CAN STAY EXTINCT: CERATOSAURUS
This regretful son made its appearance inJurassic Park III , the bigger , meanspirited monster to take on the original dreaded T - Rex . With the size and heftiness of the T - Rex , but moderately more maneuverable on its feet like the Allosaurus , the Ceratosaurus was a mighty Orion that was defined by the horn on the top of its hooter .
Ceratoraurus was also clear-cut because of its four finger , as oppose to the usual three found on vulture of its size . It was study from Isla Sorna and put on Isla Nublar , and really is unneeded given the bearing of larger , more impressive threats like the T - Rex or even the Indominus Rex .
NEED TO SEE: COMPY
The modest , spry compsognathus made their first appearance inJurassic Park : The Lost Worldwhere they went after a young girl who was vacation near Isla Sorna with her parent . The “ compys ” are only the size of chickens , but in a “ deal ” of ten or more they can be deadly . They were able to take down a grown hunting watch ( Dieter Stark ) when he rove from his traveling companions .
It would be fun to see if there were any compys on Isla Nublar , since that is n’t an environs they ’ve been seen to dwell on screen . They would be terrify scavengers for a group of teenagers to falter upon , specially after they primitively thought the little monsters were “ cunning ” and non minacious .
CAN STAY EXTINCT: STEGOSAURUS
The stegosaurus was a prominent dinosaur inThe Last World , with Sarah studying them the same way she analyze predators on the African Savannah . A stampede of the bulky herbivores almost got her toss off , as well as her x boyfriend , Ian Malcolm , and their adopted girl on Isla Sorna .
Of all the herbivore that could come along in this fresh serial , the stegosaur and their ilk are the least exciting when equate to the selection of a triceratops , or a brachiosaurus . Besides , visitor getting by chance killed by a stegosaurus herd is n’t as riveting as if it was one of the more recognizable predators .
NEED TO SEE: PTERANODON
Though they ’d been seen in the screen background ofJurassic Park : The Lost World , the pteranodons did n’t make their exalted incoming untilJurassic Park III , when Dr. Alan Grant and his companions entered their aviary . surge above and around them on their giant wings , they were majestic but deadly .
Different variation of the pteranodons have been look in the various Jurassic Park moving-picture show , without much explanation as to the variation . No doubt it ’s due to the hereditary experiments done by park scientists like Doctor Henry Wu . It would be interesting if they were domesticate to be able-bodied to carry people on their backs instead of trying to run through them .
CAN STAY EXTINCT: DIMORPHODON
These small flying ferocities had a starring part inJurassic World , teem over the visitant to the green in waves while they shop and dined at the visitor nerve centre . Though not much great than birds , these winged dinosaurs had jaw with razor needlelike teeth that they used to gnaw at at physical body .
As visually arresting as the dimorphodons are , if only a few winged reptiles could be included , we ’d prefer the pteranodons . The dimorphodons were mostly used for comic relief , and did n’t have the epic scale of their large wing peers . They lived in the same aviary , but come off as more of a pain than a real terror .
NEED TO SEE: DILOPHOSAURUS
The dilophosaurus that come out inJurassic Parkwas responsible for one of the most terrifying deaths in the franchise . Though it was a little dinosaur , it did n’t rely on its size to intimidate . It would distract its victim with a brightly color fan around its cervix and then shoot them with poisonous spitefulness .
A population of Dilophosaurus existed on both Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna , and when Mount Sibo break out inFallen Kingdom , its not clean-cut if any survived . But the modest puppet that hunt by scent would be a welcome addition to the antagonists that visitor face in the new series .
CAN STAY EXTINCT: INDOMINUS REX
The Indominus Rex was the main antagonist inJurassic World , designed as a hybrid between a velociraptor and a T - Rex , among others . With the military posture of the T - Rex and the agility and cunning of a raptor , Indominus Rex was a brutal killing machine that reigned supreme on Isla Nublar .
The DNA of the Indominus Rex was used by Doctor Henry Wu to create the Indoraptor inJurassic World : Fallen Kingdom , but both of those hybrids were killed through events involve the original T - Rex fromJurassic Park . Therefore it would be impossible to produce any further genic mutations ask the DNA .
