The Defenders

It was a groovy catastrophe in the first place this yearwhen Netflix made the decision to gut all of its Marvel shows . They ’d built up a little in darkness themed mini - MCU of TV series on their streaming political program , giving fans of the grimmer Marvel Comics fictional character and storylines what they ’d urgently wanted for years , and then they canned every unmarried one in one savage swoop .

It ’s not really open why they did it . Was it because Disney ’s own cyclosis service was on the way and they did n’t want any cobalt - productions with the Mouse House ? Who know ? Hopefully , some of the show ’ characters can be save by the flick . Here are 5 MCU Netflix Characters We ’d Love To See In The Movies ( And 5 We Do n’t ) .

Want To See: Claire Temple

We never really got to see Claire Temple embody the Night Nurse theatrical role , and a nurse is incisively what the characters of the MCU need . They ’re always getting into scrape and scuffles and otherworldly battles , so they take someone who can sew together up a baseball swing or cure a broken leg . All they have at the here and now is Tony Stark ’s wintry nebuliser that he blasts on people ’s wound , and they do n’t even have that anymore .

The Hulk could ’ve used Claire when he charred his whole weapon system snapping his finger with the Iron Gauntlet on . Also , Rosario Dawson was terrific in the role and became one of the link up characters who tied all the Netflix shows together , so she could do that just as well for the movies .

Don’t Want To See: Iron Fist

Iron Fistwas always the sorry of Netflix ’s Marvel shows . A raft of fans did n’t even bother with it . The billionaire Buddhist monk Danny Rand just was n’t that interesting . He was like a smattering of other Marvel character — like Iron Man , Doctor Strange , and Shang - Chi — got cram together .

In the comic strip , Rand is a unparalleled character with some interesting ability and plot line . But with the way he ’s written in the TV serial publication and play by Finn Jones , he just feel like a composite of several other intimate role who have prove to be popular in other movies and television shows .

Want To See: Daredevil

This one is a no - brainer . As the first Marvel character to get his own Netflix show , Daredevil is sort of the Iron Man of Netflix ’s Marvel - verse . Plus , Charlie Cox has always played him implausibly , give fans the filmdom adaptation of the Man Without Fear that they ’d been clamour perpetually since they were permit down by Ben Affleck .

Matt Murdock could fight sound battles for the Avengers , like wrapping up the geopolitical clash of the Sokovia Accords , while Daredevil could team up with other New York - base heroes like Doctor Strange or Spider - Man , which is too juicy a premise to pass up .

Don’t Want To See: Foggy Nelson

As much as lover will escape Netflix’sDaredeviland most of the character and storyline in it , Foggy Nelson is n’t really one of them . He was amiable as Matt Murdock ’s confidante , but his incessant need to make dizzy jokes made him too annoying and goofy to match into the disconsolate tone of the show .

This made him one of the least popular character reference on the show and one of the ace we could probably have done without . It might be interesting to have a lawyer in the Modern Avengers ’ turning point , but we would have that if Matt Murdock joined them .

Want To See: Misty Knight

Misty Knight is a great fictitious character , and it would be interesting to see her make the bounce to the motion-picture show . InLuke Cage , we see her between two head about superpowered vigilantes . On the one hand , the law is very dim - and - blank about vigilantism , but on the other mitt , the superheroes are defecate the world a better place .

As she was a supporting character in show that did n’t last very long , we did n’t get a chance to fully search this moral quandary . Inclusion in the moving-picture show would be a good luck to rectify this . It would also be fun to see her interact with Spider - Man , who we see delightfully bantering with NYPD military officer in theFar From Hometrailer .

Don’t Want To See: Jessica Jones

While characters like Daredevil and Ronin could be describe as dark , they ’re still just good - hearted guys seeking justice who habilitate up in silly costumes , so they fit in with the tone of the MCU . It would n’t feel out of place if Daredevil showed up in the moving-picture show .

However , it would in spades experience out of topographic point if Jessica Jones showed up . She ’s not just a brooding dipsomaniac ; her storylines have tackle such serious issuance as consent and PTSD . MCU fan want to see more from Jessica Jones because Krysten Ritter plays her perfectly , and she ’s an incredible type with flaws and aroused pain that we want to dig into . But it should n’t be in the motion picture .

Want To See: Luke Cage

Netflix’sLuke Cageseries was n’t its best show , but Mike Colter was perfect for the role of Luke Cage and the show did interestingly play around with the trope of the blaxploitation musical style , updating them for a modern hearing with a superhero angle .

In the comic strip , Luke Cage has been hard involve in a lot of the big event , so he ’d be a perfect fit for the movies . With his superhuman lastingness and virtually impenetrable skin , Cage has powers that no other character in the MCU has . He ’s like a human Drax . The two of them could even meet and crusade off alien invaders together . The hypothesis are dateless .

Don’t Want To See: Karen Page

Netflix’sDaredevilseries gave us a complete and rounded recounting of the Karen Page story . While it might be interesting to have a journalist in the mix in the films , peculiarly for the street - storey graphic symbol who protect regular people from unconstipated criminals , Karen does n’t have any more story result to tell .

She ’s been direct by the mob for pursue the verity and survive on the run , forcing her to kip in a monastery , and she even gota whole installment detailing her backstory . All the moving-picture show could do with her is force unneeded storyline , like her romance with Matt Murdock .

Want To See: The Punisher

If Jon Bernthal ’s Frank Castle brought his particular sword of justice to the MCU ’s film universe , then the movie would need to be rated R. The MCU has yet to make an R - rated movie , but a genuinely close and cinematic fib about the Punisher would be as skillful an opportunity as any to start with .

This would probably mean that Castle could n’t bring together many of the other graphic symbol , but he could team up with other gas constant - range characters that Marvel has just regained from Fox , like Wolverine or Deadpool . Fans are n’t ready to say their farewells to Bernthal ’s fantastic portrayal of the Punisher .

Don’t Want To See: Wilson Fisk

The third season ofDaredevilended with the title of respect character bring down Wilson Fisk and his criminal empire , while also sparing   his life with the condition that if he does any occupation from prison , his wife will be killed . So , he ’s alive and could therefore feasibly seem in the movies .

Fisk , a.k.a . the Kingpin , is one of Spider - Man ’s comfortably - known villains . He has the muscle and societal influence that Spidey does n’t have , make him an interesting match . But we ’ve already see Fisk humanized and his criminal go-ahead brought down . There ’s nowhere to go from there , apart from telling the storey all over again with Spidey instead of Daredevil , so it ’s simply not necessary .
