With a new Tony involved , that opens up the possibility of a tidy sum more characters from the series making an appearing . While it would be overnice to see some old favorites return , it ’s significant that the film can tell its own , fresh level . Here are some of the characters fromThe Sopranoswe require to see inNewark , and some we do n’t want to see .
Want: Christopher
One of the only persona we love for sure will be seem in the prequel film is Dickie Moltisanti , who will be played by Alessandro Nivola . Dickie is the father of Christopher ( Michael Imperioli ) and since Dickie is rumor to be the main focus of the film , it would make good sense that Christopher appear as well .
Christopher was a major part of the serial publication and a very complex character . There is no demand for him to appear in the film too heavily as the focus would be better kept on the older generation . However , showing him witnessing his sire ’s effort could hint at his blue future .
Want: Johnny Boy Soprano
Johnny Boy is the beginner of Tony Soprano and a theatrical role we hear a lot about throughout the series . Though he kick the bucket before the events of the show , we see Johnny through various flashback as well as hear about him through Tony ’s own news report , specially during his therapy academic term .
It is rumored that Johnny will be featured heavily in the movie and could beplayed by Jon Bernthal . With young Tony appear , presumably at a point when his Fatherhood is still animated , it would be interesting to see how Johnny add Tony into the life of crime .
Don’t Want: Paulie
Paulie Walnuts is seen throughout the serial publication as one of the most loyal phallus of Tony ’s bunch . However , his lieu in the family go back before Tony was even involved in the business . Paulie was originally a soldier for Johnny Boy , along with Big Pussy . It was Johnny Boy who asked Paulie to back Tony to replace him when he die .
Paulie is one of the most entertaining reference in the show , but his appearance in the movie might be cark . This is supposed to be a new story and land in all the same characters , especially one so colorful , it might start to feel like this is " The Sopranos : The Younger Years . "
Want: Richie Aprile
Richie Aprile did n’t perplex around too long in the serial , but he surely made his presence known when he was around . He is the brother of former family line boss Jackie Aprile and got out of prison house shortly after his brother ’s death . Richie is a jealous and ruthless man who goes to crimson extremes to get what he is owed .
Before go to prison house , Richie was a high up - rank member of the family and remembers Tony being his foot soldier . It would be interesting to see what that dynamical looked like . Also , cause such an impulsively violent person could bring more tension to the film .
Want: Bobby Bacala Sr
Bobby Bacala Sr . only makes a lowly appearance on the show , but his repute proceeds him . He is introduced as a very old adult male who is die of lung cancer and can just take the air up a trajectory of stairs . However , he is a former hit man in Junior Soprano ’s crowd and is said to have been quite fertile in that position .
Even as an erstwhile man , Bobby make out to take out two much young goons before he dies of his illness . Since every mob moving picture want a good hitman , Bobby seems like the man for the business . It would be exciting to see how deadly he was as a young world .
Don’t Want: Silvio
Silvio is another very loyal member of Tony ’s crew . Played by Steve Van Zandt , Silvio is a quieter and amusing character that is sometimes the unlikely representative of reason among the crowd . He also happens to be one of the oldest associates of Tony .
While Paulie and Pussy were working for Johnny , Silvio was a friend of Tony ’s who was brought in by Johnny along with his son . While he could conceivably correspond in the storey , like Paulie , the inclusion of Silvio might be overkill . He is a very memorable case but there ’s no want to see the younger version of him in this story .
Want: Janice Soprano
Tony really does n’t have a in force relationship with any member of his family . The close he comes is with his sister , Janice but even that is a very toxic and awful kinship . Tony and his wife Carmela went through quite a sight throughout the series . They love each other in many way but they also get in horrific fights and at last have a passably insalubrious relationship .

We had seen Junior in several flashback on the show and we get a glimpse at how formidable the Isle of Man could have been in his spring chicken . birth Junior as a key graphic symbol in the motion picture would be a capital excuse to show the man in his bloom .
