The newGuardians of the Galaxyteam have been stranded after searching for Gamora , with the purpose to protect her fromMarvel ’s malign Dark Guardians . Their former teammate is now missing , which means they must call on the help of the most sports fan - favorite of Marvel ’s Inhumans . That ’s right , Lockjawis an honorary Guardian .
As if the previous issue did n’t leave enough of a cliffhanger by havingStar - Lord almost killed by Nebula , Guardians # 5begins with Peter Quill alive and greet the team has no time to spare . Even ifGroot may be the drawing card of the Guardiansinstead of him , Peter know that they must rescue Gamora from the Black Order before they can turn her into the next Thanos . But cut off from the Nova Corps , left without a ship , and perfectly no leads on where Gamora has been taken ( usurp she ’s even still alive ) , it ’s Beta Ray Bill who come to the rescue , letting everyone know he ’s got a … unambiguously gifted friend .
As we read inDeath of The Inhumanscomic event , things are n’t going so great for the enfranchisement ’s heroes ( in fact , they’reeven spoilt than Marvel’sInhumansTV show ) . Black Bolt has lost his superpowers , and several primal characters have been kill , transport the survivor into concealment . But that does n’t stop Lockjaw from come to help oneself his farseeing clip friend when he needs him . After all , Beta Ray Bill came to the Inhumans ' care after learning that Lockjaw was stagnant ( he did n’t remain that way , of course ) .
Lockjaw is happy to help , and even offer condolences aboutthe tragedy of Rocket Raccoon(which lecturer will finally get to see explained inGuardians of the Galaxy # 7- just two more issues to go ! ) . For the unfamiliar , Lockjaw ’s unique ability appropriate him to instantly teleport himself and his companions to … well , just about anywhere in the universe – includingteleporting into the DC Comics reality , too . With a scent of Gamora to track , the team is transported to Lilandra IV , where they encounter a distraught Gamora claiming it is too late … Thanos is back in his new body .
So , will Lockjaw continue with the Guardians of the Galaxy now that the Inhumans do n’t ask him ? It for certain seems like they could apply the helper with Thanos being a threat again . It was in theDeath of Inhumansseries that we also get wind Lockjaw and Beta Ray Bill have share many adventures together , which fans of the two would surely care to read . Can we expect to see a serial detail more of the friendship that Beta Ray Bill and Lockjaw share ? We can only desire .
