TheHarry Potterbook and film serial is one of the most electrifying , entertaining , and dear fictional enfranchisement in the reality . And not without reason . Harry Potteris a splendid story of the power of making love and friendship , and watching young Harry fight against the most dangerous and herculean morose hotshot who ever lived was a thrill drive from starting to finishing .

However , there were moments in theHarry Pottersaga that did n’t seem to make a whole draw of sense . Harry is a expectant champion , but frankly he ’s no match for many of the witch and wizard he become up against ,   and despite that fact he still manages to miraculously go every single time . The plot armor that it took to keep Harry live for seven installment was pretty dang deep , to be honest . And here are 10 instances where Harry Potter was distressingly obviously saved by plot armor .

His Burning Hands

So as is revealed throughout the course of the entireHarry Potterseries , Harry Potter himself is lucky enough to have a fate of magical abilities and protection that specifically keep him safe from Lord Voldemort .

But one thing that is never really explained to the extent that it needs to be is the fact that he literally melts Professor Quirrell ’s head with his hand in the first installment in the series . He is n’t even trying to do anything , but Harry ’s touch does that much price on its own . But only in this one particular circumstance , mightily when he needs it .

His Impressive Talents

Harry is undoubtedly a very gifted superstar who knows more than his comely part at his geezerhood . However , he ’s still a kid , get going up against a crowd of adults . And typically those grownup are very familiar with and proficient at using all manner of dark magic .

It ’s understandable that Harry might be capable to get out of some pasty situations on juncture , but Harry often times faces off against one or more witches and necromancer who should be his equal or great when it number to wizard skill . However , because of plot armor , he always escapes these scenario comparatively unscathed .

Barty Crouch Jr.’s Missed Opportunities

Barty Crouch Jr. devoted a vast portion of his life to swear out Harry Potter up to the dark lord , and he was evidently cagey and sneaky enough to pose as Mad - Eye Moody for an entire schoolhouse class so as to make that bechance .

Although Voldemort may have wanted Harry for himself , Barty had about a million opportunities to kill Harry or at least take him captive and take on to him for the sake of old Voldy . And even when the plan goes sideways , Barty wastes all of his time babble at Harry and basically outing himself instead of just offing Harry right then and there .

The Problem Of Peter Pettigrew

Granted , Peter Pettigrew is incredibly fearful , and by the clock time Harry Potter meets Ron Weasley atHogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardrythe welfare to wipe out Harry Potter are n’t that great . However , killing Harry really had no downside and a lot of upsides for Peter .

Peter was in close contact with Harry for year , he literally had every opportunity imaginable to just finish Harry , and because everyone already assumed that he was dead he never would have been catch . And if he need to ingratiate himself with the glowering wizards of the world , include Voldemort , what better way to do it than by kill the boy who lived .

Voldemort’s Timing

A peck of people have pointed this out before , but it does seem wildly considerate of Voldemort to fundamentally plan all of his plan of attack on Harry Potter for the death of the Hogwarts school year .

Obviously for the sake of consistent storytelling it ’s easy to see why author J.K. Rowling decided to structure the series this way , but on a basic common gumption level it really seems like a logic fail . frankly , Voldemort literally may have been triumphant over Harry if he just did n’t wait so long to make his move every time , or at least switched up his timeline every once in a while .

The Wand Connection

There is some logic to Voldemort and Harry Potter ’s wands give some sort of mystical connexion . After all , Harry and Voldemort have a mysterious association themselves , and their wand both have cores that come in from the very same capital of Arizona . However , the whole issue of their sceptre connecting seems like a unusual one if you be that logic through to its conclusion .

I mean , presumptively many wands have cores that come from the same animals , so does that mean whoever possess sceptre with matching core will never be capable to use magic against each other ? It definitely seems a picayune too convenient to bribe .

He Chooses To Live

Plot armour can make some sensory faculty and still be secret plan armor . And that surely seems to be the case for the example where Voldemort really " killed " Harry . During their terminal encounter , Harry shows up to be slaughtered , and it seems that for a instant he is .

He has some sort of delusion of Dumbledore , where he learns that Voldemort has actually just killed the Horcrux and not Harry . Harry can choose to snuff it , or he can choose to survive , so he chooses to experience . It makes sentiency in the story , but it ’s hard to imagine more obvious plot of ground armor than a character literally just deciding not to die .

By The Horcrux

Not to disregard Harry ’s significant talents as an actual wizard , but it ’s safe to say that in any real man consideration he is no compeer for Voldemort . In fact , many of the hag or wizards he has belong up against are at least a friction match to Harry ’s own big businessman .

However , Harry was also a Horcrux for Voldemort ’s fractured soul , and that seemed to be a pretty powerful shield against his own damage . Harry produce some of Voldemort ’s abilities because of the Horcrux , and he likely got some of Voldemort ’s power . And , of course , since he was also a part of Voldemort , the disconsolate lord had a hard fourth dimension in reality doing any harm to Harry .

Voldemort’s Orders

So one of the easiest way to keep Harry alive when he should be public foe number one is when Voldemort range all of his followers not to kill Harry , because he believes that he needs to be the one to end the boy who live on for good .

There is some comprehensible logical system to that decision , however , as it makes Harry ’s survival a fortune easy as well . Harry comes face to face with Voldemort ’s followers dozens of times over the course of the serial publication , and any one of them could have toss off him if Voldemort had n’t explicitly distinguish them all not to .

His Mother’s Love

You know , although plot armour can be unbelievably irritating sometimes , the great unwashed need to give credit where credit is due . And J.K. Rowling come in up with a pretty smart as a whip explanation for Harry ’s constant plot armor when she explain that his female parent ’s willingness to give her life for Harry imbued him with the most brawny form of aegis that anyone can have : love .

Obviously the symbolism there is pretty deep , and this plot point does n’t just exist as an alibi to keep Harry alive , however it does excuse how he constantly survives spot that should defeat him and gives a magical meaning to what seems like a major secret plan convenience .
