Namorthe Sub - Mariner hates one thing more than anything else in the world : humankind . And Marvel Comics just turned him into the things he despises most , by taking away his water - pass off exponent . And needless to say , he ’s more than a little upset .
Namor has been at odds with country indweller many time over the course of his amusing book existence , most recently attacking humans with a chemic weapon that gives them the ability to breath submerged ( and takes away their power to breath above water ) . InInvaders # 10,Captain America and Bucky get the powerto venture into Atlantis and confront Namor . The only problem with that is there is no cure … until now !
After Cap and Bucky invade Atantis , the fight gets brought to the surface where Cap fight to breathe . Whenthe nefarious Roxxon Corporationenters the moving-picture show , Namor and Cap get blasted with a lungful of what seems to be the farseeing sought antidote . The results take away Captain America ’s newfound ability to breath underwater … but they also take away Namor ’s ability to do the same . make him nothing but an an ordinary human .
Because Namor is half - Atlantean and half - human , he has always been able to pull through both on land , and in the water . But that is n’t the case any longer . The last page ofInvaders # 10shows just how Namor sense about becomingthe thing he hates most in this cosmos . Sure , Namor does have other exponent besides being capable to breath underwater , but readers can only don those are choke from him as well . But what does this mean for the urban center of Atlantis ? Can they handle being in an all out warfare without their fearless leader to help guide them ? reader can assume Namor just needs to be hit with a dose of his own medicine , so to mouth , but find as he has washed up on an empty island and has no more super - human abilities , how would he be display to it ?
With Namor and his old mate stick on a abandoned island – with no powers between the two of them – things are n’t look too unspoiled . Will they be able to put aside their conflict so as to escape ? And if they do , will Namor stop up with a new grasp for the humans he despise ? Or will he grow to detest them even more ?
