The actress seemed excited to repeat her famous part , but did bring out that she was skeptical about somebody being capable to develop a fib that could bring her lineament back from the dead in a meaningful way . " I would really love to reprise Nancy in a direction , because I find that there ’s more of that story to be separate , certainly , but I do n’t know if there ’s anyone out there who is as imaginative as Wes Craven , who could figure it out . I just do n’t know . I do n’t see enough great storylines that would incorporate Nancy in any universe . I just do n’t know if that survive , but some magnificent person might be working on something . "
While theNightmare on Elm Streetmovies do have a large and patriotic fanbase , lover have n’t gotten a new film since the reboot in 2010 . The reboot asterisk Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy Krueger and Rooney Mara as Nancy Holbrook , but the film was mostly panned by sports fan and critics . In laterNightmare on Elm Streetsequels , Freddy was turned into a more comedic figure , but the reboot negociate to bring him back to his morose roots .
