It ’s been float out there for awhile now thatThe Batmanwould in all probability include multiple villains , with the two most often mentioned being Penguin and The Riddler . To that end , Zoe Kravitz was recently cast as Catwoman , Batman ’s sometimes felonious curse and other meter greatest erotic love . The Caped Crusader is set to be play by formerTwilightheartthrob Robert Pattinson .
Earlier tonight , it was reported that Jonah Hill had drop dead negotiation to play either The Penguin or The Riddler , seemingly due to a disagreement on his salary . With Hill out of the running , additional selective information has been released regarding another possible comedic actor Warner Bros. considered to play the umbrella - wielding Oswald Cobblepott . plain , Pineapple ExpressstarSeth Rogenwas briefly in the running for the part .

Hill would ’ve already been a fairly interesting alternative for Penguin inThe Batman , but Rogen would perhaps be even more so . Unlike Hill , Rogen really has n’t spread his wing much in dramatic playing , and is also kind of operose to guess as a ruthless offense boss . That sound out , the same could ’ve been said of Danny DeVito when he was cast inBatman Returns , and quite a few fans hump his portrait . Like Pattinson , perhaps Rogen would ’ve surprised detractors of his casting .
It ’s unconvincing Rogen will sweat lose out onThe Batmanfor long though , as he ’s apparently never at a loss for work , and when he ’s not onscreen , he ’s often produce or writing as well . Rogen of course of study voiced Pumbaa in this summer’sLion Kingremake , and recently starred alongside Charlize Theron inLong Shot . Rogen also produced the recently wrap upPreacherseries for AMC , and does the same forThe Boyson Amazon Prime , as well asBlack Mondayon Showtime . With both Rogen and Hill out of the admixture though , The Batmanstill needs to cast some villains for The Dark Knight to struggle .
