In her mind , Eleanor tell the young girl , " assert on your cupful of stars ; once they have trapped you into being like everyone else you will never see your cupful of stars again ; do n’t do it . " A pretty potent line , it shows that Eleanor ( though fragile ) has a strong sense of individuality , which is all the scarier when the family take that out .

Mrs. Dudley Doesn’t Stay the Night

The Story of the Raining Stones
In the serial , this news report belong to Olivia and she tells it to Mrs. Dudley . When her father decease , it rain stones . As a girl , Olivia call back she made it rain down stones but then brush it off as a child ’s way of reasoning . This is the first time that Olivia mat up her psychic abilities .
The narrative of the raining Stone draws Eleanor to Hill House in the book . She was select for the experiment based on this experience that happened when she was 12 eld old . Theo & Nell Have A Fight
In the serial , we ascertain that Nell and Theo had a fighting . Consequently , Theo was the one sibling Nell did n’t strain out to before she went into the household . When thing become tough for Olivia in the house , her husband tell her that she needs to have some time away from the house . Eventually , Olivia agrees and packs her bag to spend time with her sister . Alas , she never makes it to her sister ’s and comes back to the sign .

Eleanor feels like they are taking her away from her home , her fresh kinsperson , and everything that ever made her sense especial . The House’s Escapades: Banging Walls, Holding Hands, Dogs
In both the novel and the series , the house begins to acquit in shivery room . In the serial , they keep on hearing cheap dogs at nighttime . While in the book , two graphic symbol actually chase hound out of the house . There are no canines , and the graphic symbol realize that the house wanted to separate the four for have its fun .
The book has Theo and Nell fawn in a elbow room while it vocalise like something wants to get in from the other side , banging the doorway and the surrounding walls . It ’s forte , yet the other characters do n’t hear anything until the two heroine start to scream . In the series , this same affair happen , except it is Theo and Shirley .
At one distributor point in the series , Theo think Nell is scared and concord her deal too sloshed . She then realizes that she was alone in the way and call for loudly who was hold her hired hand . This is like in the book but leaf . Eleanor and Theo are slumber in the same bed , and Eleanor opine that Theo is holding her hand to comfort her . Then she realize that Theo has been heavily asleep and was n’t hold her hand . It was something else .
Nell Dances Around the House
