First of all , Tony , it ’s a pleasure to gather you . I wanted to say congratulations . This movie is tremendous . What I keep assure everyone is that it has some of the funniest moment in the full franchise and some of the most devout second , and Forky really centers around that so I require to go back to the beginning .

How were you first pitch the character of Forky and what was your chemical reaction to reading the book ?

Tony Hale : I call back it ’s the same reaction as I have now in which I kind of resonate with Forky is that I ’m overwhelmed , and I have no musical theme how I got here [ laughs ] . They take me up to Pixar and they had consume clips of shows I ’ve done , from Arrested Development and Veep , and they tie them to Forky - the liveliness . And so I saw a little clipping . They talked about him having a very nervous free energy which [ laugh ] is my forte , and how everything is new - he does n’t understand the rules of the population and just freely require a sight of questions . And I just bonk that kind of white slating component of him that was really , really fun .

Tony Hale : Wooo could Woody have create Forky … Oh my gosh now we ’re getting into it . Umm … I recollect prob … I do n’t acknowledge . Maybe . Because I love that question - this is why . Someone was ask me recently about his universe and why did that materialize and it ’s because Bonnie give time value to these thing and then brought that to spirit so I do n’t know if another toy can create it . But , you know , Toy Story 5 … [Laughs ]

I have another question but the more I think about it , maybe it ’s a little dark , but
Tony Hale : No , I love it ! Let ’s go there .
Where this movie goes we see unlike lifestyles of toys . We see lost toys , we see toys that are elder become demode , but given the trash - based source tale of Forky does he have a comparatively short life expectancy - because we ’re not going to see him in an antique store .
Tony Hale : Sure , sure . Ummm … Well , mayhap [ Laughs ] . perchance a thrift storehouse . I think , well , I guess because of the room it get - and I mentioned this earlier - but it ’s like he really just assure his one - way route as the trash . That ’s all he see , and helping citizenry eat chilly . And then Woody get in and says " you have a swell purpose . You have greater value . " And I think with that it opened up this whole new itinerary for him . And so obviously I reckon his expectancy is much longer but I love that whole component of whether somebody thinks that ’s their only route or they might see themselves that path , or somebody may have sound out that to them , they have so much more value than that .

Tony Hale : Yeah , so Forky sort of starts out with a question and other case follow in and help him explore these motion . For my last question - when Toy Story 4 hits theaters what are you most excited for fans to take from it ?
